BACKGROUND
John J. Harris has been Chairman and Executive Vice President of Nestle Waters S.A. since December 2007 and has also been its Chief Executive Officer since December 1, 2008. Mr. Harris has been Executive Vice President of Nestle SA since February 2008. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Nestle Purina Europe of Nestle Waters S.A. since 2002. He was Top Manager of the Nestle Purina Europe unit since 2002. In 2005, he became responsible for Nestle Purina's operations ... in Asia, Oceania and Africa. Mr. Harris has worked for the Nestle Company for over ten years, first as a Senior Vice President at the Worldwide Petcare Strategic Business Unit, based in Switzerland. He served as President of the Friskies Petcare Company. Before joining Nestle, Mr. Harris held various positions with the Carnation Company in Los Angeles. Mr. Harris serves as the Chairman of the Pet Food Institute's Board of Directors. He has been a Director of Nestlé Waters since December 2007. He serves as a Director of UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mr. Harris received his BA from California State University and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles Graduate School of Businessin 1974.
